Robert Luke started his career with State Farm in 2012. He fell in love with the insurance industry and quickly became “a total insurance nerd.” He worked as an insurance and financial services representative for roughly five years. During that time, he became an expert in personal property and casualty and life insurance.
Luke decided to become an independent agent in 2017. Going independent allowed him to gain a comprehensive understanding of the commercial insurance side of the business. He completed the industry-renowned 12-month Pace Setters sales program with State Auto though BGM Insurance Agency. After finishing in the upper percentile of his class, Luke qualified for the alumni program and maintained his status for another 12 months. He earned two all-expense-paid trips to the Bahamas during his time in the Pace Setters program. He is currently considered a trusted personal and commercial insurance adviser with BGM Insurance Agency.
His community involvement includes volunteering to work Taste of Fenton for the last four years and serving as a Flint & Genesee Young Professionals board member and former vice president of Fenton Young Professionals. “I keep it simple and genuine,” Luke said. “I do not get involved or show up to events for the sake of checking a box. I have developed countless meaningful relationships during my endeavors. My involvement is invaluable personally and professionally.”
