This issue of AND is really exciting! It reveals some of Genesee County’s most impressive leaders who were selected for Flint & Genesee Group’s 2022 40 Under 40 list.
As the COVID-19 pandemic wanes, these impassioned leaders are working to address the opportunities – and challenges – that our region faces. They’re bringing new ideas, strengthening neighborhoods and solving problems. It’s clear that they are dedicated to their organizational missions and the betterment of our region.
Whether they are focused on talent attraction and retention, food and housing stability, racial inequities, community development, financial empowerment, or literacy, each of these 40 Under 40 recipients is playing a role in helping County residents.
40 Under 40 was created to shine a spotlight on the County’s dynamic young talent under the age of 40. The program was open to individuals who live or work in the County and were 39 years old or younger as of Dec. 31, 2022. The community responded with nearly 100 nominations.
The list recognizes proven leaders and innovators from diverse backgrounds and industries, including technology, health care, finance, development, food & beverage, consulting and education.
I want to personally congratulate each recipient of the 40 Under 40 recognition and encourage all to continue their work to create a brighter future in Flint & Genesee.
