Nikki Koliopoulos started her career at Cumulus Media-Flint, where she held positions in promotions and then national sales, working with clients and stations across the country. She transitioned to local sales where her love for community involvement grew, before becoming director of special events and donor relations at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Flint in 2020.
During her tenure at the youth development organization, she increased donations by 13.7% and raised special event revenue 222% from the previous year. Her work was recognized by the nonprofit’s state organization with an award for outstanding marketing/communications, and she received the Newcomer Excellence Award from Boys & Girls Clubs of America for resource development professionals at the national conference. In 2022, Koliopoulos accepted a position at Hurley Medical Center as marketing logistics coordinator, where she was the editor of their monthly magazine. She is currently the senior account manager with Cumulus Media, continuing her work of lifting up businesses and organizations in the region.
For eight years, Koliopoulos has been a Flint & Genesee Chamber Ambassador and has held the role of chair for the past six years, helping shape the group’s vision and direction. She also chairs the Flint & Genesee Young Professionals, a group she’s worked with for eight years, helping provide networking, professional development, and placemaking opportunities. A Michigan State University graduate, she serves as vice president for the Genesee County Spartans.
