Food Bank of Eastern Michigan
Tiffanie Paielli brings a level of compassion for her community that’s often hard to come by.
She joined the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan four years ago as a staff accountant and was soon promoted to director of finance. In November 2023, she was named chief financial officer. Known for her attention to detail and commitment to Greater Flint, Paielli always lends a mission-driven focus to her work, leveraging dollars to do the most good. Her leadership is clear, consistent, and empathetic. Paielli manages hundreds of funding streams, all of which go toward feeding people in need in Flint & Genesee – and the food bank’s 22-county service area.
Since taking over the food bank’s finance department, she has facilitated and received perfect audits from third-party reviewers. Her financial management skills have proven the food bank an exceptionally responsible fiduciary of several city, county, state, and federal grants, often leading to sub-grants to other organizations.
Paielli earned her bachelor’s degree from Baker College and her master’s from Walsh College. She has significantly contributed to improving the food bank’s culture by participating in leadership training through Dare to Lead and Dale Carnegie courses. She is a Certified Nonprofit Accounting Professional.
