Trademark My Stuff

Since founding the McGhee Law Firm, Kyona McGhee has successfully filed more than 2,500 trademark applications and held the hands of hundreds of entrepreneurs nationwide as they navigate the demands of growing their own business. Appropriately, her law practice is now better known as “Trademark My Stuff.”

A wife and mother of three children, she graduated in 2018 as valedictorian of her Cooley Law School class. Even before commencement, she was recognized for her expertise and skill and was selected as teaching assistant in the school’s Law of Evidence and Professional Ethics and Responsibility courses. In 2017, she was named a “Woman of Law” by Ms. JD, a national nonprofit dedicated to the success of aspiring and early-career women lawyers. She is licensed to practice law in Michigan and Washington state.

Today, she is regarded as a leader in the small business community and was named the 2015 Minority Business Owner of the Year by the Flint & Genesee Chamber. She leads a seven-person legal team that works behind the scenes to serve her clients on their trademark journeys. McGhee’s work has been recognized by the American Bar Association, Yahoo, Law Practice Today, NewsNation, and other national media outlets.

McGhee also serves through the Genesee County Office of the Public Defender. She serves on the board of directors for the Genesee County Bar Association and Mallory, VanDyne, Scott Bar Association. She is a member of Foss Avenue Baptist Church.
