Born and raised in Flint, Dominic Gutierrez has dedicated his career to the betterment of his community. He has worked for the Flint Firebirds since 2015, playing an instrumental role in the continued growth of the club’s brand and fanbase. Gutierrez has worked for the junior ice hockey team in a variety of roles including merchandising, ticket sales, customer service, corporate partnerships, and marketing. He’s served in his current role as the club’s director of marketing since 2019.

His ability to mobilize resources and foster partnerships has made a significant impact on the Flint community, providing vital support to numerous local causes. During his nine seasons with the Firebirds, Gutierrez has helped the club raise over $1 million for charities and nonprofits in the region including the Old Newsboys of Flint, Food Bank of Eastern Michigan, Folds of Honor, United Way, Whaley Children’s Center, and many more.

One of Gutierrez’s notable contributions is his support for local community and education initiatives. He has played a key role in organizing teacher appreciation nights, teacher-of-the-year scholarships, and other career-focused promotions, demonstrating his commitment to empowering educators and students alike.

In addition to his professional and philanthropic work, Dominic is an active member of the Flint & Genesee Young Professionals. He also serves on the golf committee for the Old Newsboys, further contributing to their fundraising efforts.
