Snuggle Sacks
At the age of 17, Addisyn Goss has already dedicated more than half her life to helping those in need.
When she was just eight years old, Goss and her older siblings, Sheridan and Jaxson, were inspired to take action after reconnecting with their grandfather, who had been estranged from the family for 10 years and homeless for six. The Linden trio gathered enough food, toiletry items, and clothing to make their first 50 survival kits called Snuggle Sacks and distributed them to homeless people in the community.
Today, Goss remains involved with Snuggle Sacks, a nonprofit that serves more than 600 individuals monthly. The organization now has a footprint and impact covering multiple states.
In addition to her work with Snuggle Snacks, Goss maintains high grades and plays varsity golf at Linden High School. She is involved in various clubs, attends Genesee Career Institute through a nursing co-op with her high school, and works at Community Threads of Fenton.
Goss has received multiple awards and honors, including the I am an Everyday Hero from USA Today; Entrepreneur of the Year from the Fenton & Linden Regional Chamber of Commerce; and H. William Reising Achievement Award from the Shelter of Flint, among others. Additionally, she is a member of Grow Linden, Linden Presbyterian Church, Fenton & Linden Regional Chamber of Commerce, National Honor Society, and the Michigan Coalition Against Homelessness.
