In her seven-year tenure at the Michigan Bankers Association (MBA), Alyssa Bouchard has demonstrated exceptional professionalism and dedication, earning the respect of colleagues and stakeholders alike.
As vice president of communications, Bouchard plays a pivotal role in shaping internal and external messaging for the 6,000-member organization. Her responsibilities run the gamut from media relations to social media management, where she excels as lead content manager.
Using strategic communications, she ensures MBA employees and stakeholders are aligned with the organization’s mission and values. In her role as editor in chief of the award-winning mbaBanking magazine, Bouchard oversees content creation and advertising sales, reaching over 13,000 members and industry professionals nationwide.
She is an active member of the MBA’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) team, leveraging her communication skills to amplify DEI initiatives through the organization’s digital platforms. Through collaborative initiatives like the 21-Day Equity Challenge, in partnership with United Way, and the quarterly DEI Newsletter, she has fostered widespread engagement across Michigan. Her efforts have earned professional recognitions including a Great Things Award from Advanced Solutions International and a nomination for the 10 Over the Next Ten Awards in Lansing.
Early in her career in Texas, Bouchard earned five El Bronce Awards from the Public Relations Society of America in San Antonio and donated much of her time and talent to nonprofit and school organizations in that area. Bouchard now lives in Swartz Creek, where she was a member of the Swartz Creek Community Schools Board of Education and is currently on the ballot for 2024. She also serves as an assistant coach for the Swartz Creek Little League girls softball team.
Bouchard earned an associate degree at Mott Community College and a bachelor’s degree in communications at Saginaw Valley State University.
